Saint-Bonnet-Le-Froid is the cradle of the Marcon house, Régis' mark is well known with more than forty years spent behind the stoves of this famous house. In 2004, he was joined by his son Jacques, and since then the two chefs have combined their techniques to serve your taste buds. The Marcon family is committed to respecting tradition and innovation. During your visit, discover the Comptoir Porcelana, the self-service restaurant of the Cité du Chocolat! You will probably be tasting, for the first time, savoury chocolate cuisine. Beyond the traditional recipes where it is used as a binder in a sauce, the creations of the Comptoir Porcelana subtly combine chocolate or cocoa with meats, fish or vegetables, for new taste sensations.
Castaneiculteurs for more than 7 generations, it is in Lamastre in the heart of the Ardèche that we cultivate and transform mountain fruits with a particular love for the Châtaigne d'Ardèche AOP.
Nicolas and Carole, passionate farmers, invite you to discover their farm, in organic agriculture, during a visit that ressembles them: dynamic and passionate. Share the daily life of this farming couple through a short but intense slide show, a demonstration of herding dogs and the milking of the ewes. Taste the farm's organic products: cheese, yoghurt, dulce de leche, ice cream, chestnut cream. The farm has sheep but also pigs, chickens, geese and sheepdogs.
Emilie and Yohan Fumas open the doors of their shop to discover the specialities of the cheese factory, cheese for all preferences: dry, fresh, matured to delight the palate of visitors. At the same time, you can freely visit Aurélie Vincent Chalencon's goat farm and watch the goats being milked.

The Mont Gerbier de Jonc is a "suc" of the Monts d'Ardèche: sucs are ancient volcanoes whose very thick lava has cooled without having time to flow. As it crystallized, it turned into a rock called phonolite, which is used for roofs made of lauzes (example: the Bourlatier Farm, 3 km away). Phonolith is also used nowadays for music on lithophone.
Less than an hour from the Fermes Ardéchoises, the Lac de Lavalette offers a wide range of activities: supervised swimming, sailing and water sports, mountain biking and hiking, and fishing.
Do you want to combine sport with the discovery of beautiful landscapes? Go to the Issarlès lake around which you will discover a shaded hiking trail of about 5 km. It is also possible to swim in the Issarlès lake where swimming is supervised in July and August.
